Year 6

Welcome to Year 6

It doesn’t seem so long ago since the children began their Billingham South journey and here they embark on their final year at primary school. Year Six is a challenging year filled with high expectations, fun and most importantly happiness. During the year the children will sit their end of Key Stage SATs which they have worked towards over the past four years; through these tests the children have the opportunity to show their very best if they approach the school year with determination and resilience.

We want to ensure that your child achieves his/her potential, emotionally, socially and academically and we feel the best way for this to happen is to work with you as parents or carers. Please ensure your child reads at home (at least) three times each week, learns their spellings and has an excellent attendance.

We look forward to celebrating the success of each child and can’t wait to create long lasting memories.
